Brad Badelt is the Assistant Director of Sustainability with the City of Vancouver. He oversees a range of climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives to help Vancouver achieve its goal of becoming the greenest city in the world. Brad played a leadership role in establishing the Zero Emissions Building Exchange, a local innovation hub for leading designers and builders. He has been closely involved in advancing the city’s sea-level rise planning, as well as in efforts to reduce construction and demolition waste. He is currently a co-chair of the Cascadia Region Urban Sustainability Directors Network. Brad has a Master’s degree in water resources engineering and more than 15 years of experience in urban sustainability.
